Noah Lee of Boone High School has signed a national letter of intent to attend Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) and run men's cross country.
Lee is the second commitment to the DMACC men's cross country program for the 2019-20 school year, joining Blake Gregory of Ogden High School.
Lee said he chose DMACC because of the school's proximity to his home, because of the men's cross country coaching staff and because of the low tuition cost.
"I love the academics at DMACC and the teachers are kind and caring," Lee said. "The (cross country) program is a good growing program that will have tons of future success."
Lee said attending DMACC will help him further his athletic and career ambitions by setting him up on a good running program during his two years at the school.
Lee participates in cross country, swimming and soccer at Boone High School. He is a four-year letter winning in cross country and a two-time team captain. He has also earned all-conference honors in swimming and has been named to the National Honor Society.
