The DMACC men's basketball team is the No. 1 seed in the 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Men's Basketball Championship that will be held March 16 to 21 at Danville, Ill.
Tournament seedings and pairings were announced March 10 by the NJCAA.
DMACC, making its third consecutive appearance in the tournament and its sixth appearance in the past seven seasons, will face either Arkansas State University Mid-South Community College (ASUMS) or Lansing Community College (LCC) in their first game March 17 at 11 a.m.
ASUMS and LCC will face each other at 11 a.m. on March 16. ASUMS is 26-7 and is seeded 14th. LCC is 24-7 and is seeded 17th.
DMACC is one of three teams from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) playing in the tournament. Ellsworth Community College (ECC) is seeded eighth and will face South Suburban Community College (SSCC) in a first round game on March 17. Iowa Central Community College (ICCC) is seeded fifth and will play 12th-seeded Schoolcraft College (SC) at 6 p.m. on March 16.
DMACC, ECC and ICCC could be on a collision course. DMACC and ECC are in the same half of the bracket and if both win their tournament openers they will clash in a quarterfinal game March 17 at 6 p.m. ICCC is in the lower half of the bracket and wouldn't see DMACC or ECC until the semifinals.
DMACC, ECC and ICCC were all ranked in the NJCAA Division II poll throughout the season. DMACC swept both teams in their regular-season matchups.
