The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has announced postseason honors for men's cross country and seven members of the DMACC men's cross country team and head coach Michael Melchert have been honored.
Sophomore Eli Page of Vinton was named to the second all-conference team and earned Division II first team recognition. He was also named the Division II Athlete of the Year.
All-conference honorable mention went to freshman Christan Coate of Martensdale, sophomore Elijah Blix of Vinton and freshman Sam Mora of Grimes. Choate and Mora were also named to the first all-region team and Blix was named to the all-region second team.
Freshman Joseph Lowry of Waukee and sophomore Zach Stoermer of Des Moines were named to the all-region second team and sophomore Hunter Landphair of Adel received all-region honorable mention recognition.
DMACC men's cross country coach Michael Melchert capped the team's honors by being named Division II Coach of the Year.
The DMACC men's cross country team closed the season with a second-place finish in the 2025 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Men's Cross Country Championship November 8 at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge. The Bears, ranked third nationally, scored 110 points and finished behind top-ranked Lansing Community College (LCC) which won the meet with 32 points.
Stoermer and Page earned first- and third-team All-American honors with eighth- and 21st-place finishes respectively in the national championship. Page took medalist honors and led the Bears to the team championship in the Region 11 Championship Oct. 24, also at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge.
