- Sophomore Haley Loonan leads DMACC with a third-place finish
- Freshmen Megan Wilde and Hannah Kenkel tie for fourth place

Sophomore Haley Loonan of Gilbert shot an 8-over-par 80 to lead the DMACC women's golf team to the team championship in the NIACC Spring Invitational April 24 at Highland Park Golf Course in Mason City,
The Bears posted an 18-hole score of 325 and finished nine strokes ahead of North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC). Hawkeye Community College (HCC) and NIACC-B were third and fourth respectively with 373 and 377 strokes.
NIACC's Meghan DeLong took medalist honors with a 6-over-par 78.
Loonan's 80 got her a third-place finish in the individual competition.
Other DMACC results included a tie for fourth place from freshmen Megan Wilde of Somerset, England, and Hannah Kenkel of Waukee. Freshman Sydney Helgeson of Garner tied for sixth and freshman Isabella Ross of Ankeny finished 12th.
Wilde and Kenkel each shot 81, Helgeson posted an 83 and Ross turned in an 86.
The DMACC women's golf team is playing in the North Central District Championship today and April 28 at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny
