Three members of the DMACC women's track & field team competed in the Kip Janvrin Open April 24 and 25 at Indianola.
Sophomore Jaycie Vohs of Galva and freshman Mariah Falkena of Dunlap ran in the women's 1500-meter run placing 36th and 56th respectively. Vohs' time was 4 minutes, 58.39 seconds and Falkena crossed the finish line in 5:18.26. The race champion was Kassidy Stuckey of the University of Nebraska-Kearney (UNK). Her winning time was 4:24.68.
DMACC sophomore Dakota Tromblay of Ogden ran in the women's 5000-meter run, finishing in 66th place with a time of 19:55.04. Elizabeth Ewuise of Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) won the race in 16:59.84.
The DMACC women's track & field team will run in the Region 11 Championships May 1 to 3 at Council Bluffs.
