The DMACC women's basketball team is the No. 13 seed in the 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Women's Basketball Championship March 16 to 21 at Hickory, N.C.
Tournament seedings and pairings were announced March 10 by the NJCAA.
The Bears, 25-8, are playing in the tournament for the first time in school history and face Monroe Community College (MCC) in their tournament opener March 16 at 10 a.m. MCC, located in Rochester, N.Y., is seeded 20th and is 23-7 this season.
DMACC is one of three teams from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) playing in the tournament. Kirkwood Community College (KCC) is seeded sixth and will open against Community College of Baltimore County-Essex (CCBCE) at 8 p.m. on March 16. North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) is seeded eighth and opens against Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) March 17 at 2 p.m.
If DMACC beats MCC the Bears will play fourth-seeded Pima Community College (PCC) at 10 a.m. on March 17. DMACC and NIACC could meet in a semifinal matchup at 4 p.m. on March 20. The Bears and Trojans split their regular-season series.
KCC is on the other side of the bracket and would not see DMACC or NIACC until the championship game on March 21
