DMACC's Lauren Sandvold named NJCAA Third-Team All-American
  • Sandvold led DMACC and the ICCAC in digs with 779
  • Sandvold also led the Bears and the conference in digs per set at 5.64
  • Sandvold's season also included 154 assists

 

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named DMACC's Lauren Sandvold a third-team All-American in Division II volleyball.

 

Sandvold, a sophomore from Cedar Falls, is the only member of the DMACC volleyball team to be honored by the NJCAA this season. She is one of 13 DMACC volleyball players who have earned All-American honors dating back to the 2002-03 season.

 

Sandvold led the Bears and the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) in digs with 779 this past season and she also led DMACC and the ICCAC in digs per set at 1.64.

 

Sandberg's season also included 154 assists.

 

The DMACC volleyball team concluded the 2025-26 season at 25-14 overall and 9-3 in the ICCAC. The Bears were the No. 3 seed in the Region 11-B Tournament and defeated Ellsworth Community College (ECC) in the tournament semifinals. A 3-1 loss to Kirkwood Community College (KCC) in the championship matched ended their season.
